Matt Rosendale, a U.S. Congressman representing Montana’s 2nd district since 2021, has recently shared several statements on social media addressing both spiritual and political concerns. Rosendale, who succeeded Greg Gianforte in Congress, previously served in the Montana House of Representatives and the Montana Senate. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1960 and currently resides in Glendive.

On November 17, 2024, Rosendale shared a biblical passage from Deuteronomy: “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” This tweet reflects his personal beliefs and offers encouragement to his followers.

The following day, November 18, Rosendale expressed concern over international military actions involving American resources. He questioned the involvement of American long-range missiles being used against Russia and mentioned reports of North Korean troops stationed there. In his tweet he asked: “When will Congress reclaim its authority and stop this proxy war we are entangled in?!”

On November 19, Rosendale criticized what he described as bipartisan agreements formed rapidly without adequate consideration for American citizens or veterans. His statement read: “When a uniparty agreement comes together overnight, it means the American people – and in this case our nation’s heroes – get the short straw.”
