U.S. Senator Steve Daines, who represents Montana in the Senate and participates in several key committees, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing support for local agriculture and responding to other public figures.

On January 9, 2026, Daines stated, “Proud to lead a letter to @USTradeRep to support American sheep producers. I’ll keep fighting to support MT ranchers from unfair market conditions.” On January 11, 2026, he expressed appreciation for another public figure with the message: “Thank you @elonmusk!” Later that same day, Daines posted a brief remark: “Nailed it.”

Daines has served as U.S. Senator from Montana since 2015 and is affiliated with Senate committees on finance, foreign relations, energy and natural resources, and Indian affairs. He maintains offices across multiple cities in Montana—including Bozeman, Great Falls, Helena, Billings, Missoula, Kalispell and Sidney—as well as Washington, D.C., providing constituent services such as assistance with federal agencies and veterans resources (official website). A fifth-generation Montanan who grew up in Bozeman and attended public schools there, Daines holds a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Montana State University.
