Congrats @msubobcats_fb on a huge win today & an incredible season- proud to be a Bobcat!” (January 6, 2026).

By midday, Daines turned to somber news with a tribute to Congressman Doug LaMalfa: “Cindy and I are saddened to hear of the passing of Congressman Doug LaMalfa, a dear friend of mine. We were elected together to U.S. House in 2012. He was a defender of our western way of life and served California and our nation well. He will be deeply missed.” (January 6, 2026).
