Steve Daines, U.S. Senator representing Montana since 2015, shared his enthusiasm for the state’s football teams and their upcoming appearance at the FCS Championship Game in Nashville through a series of social media posts over December 20 and 21, 2025.

On December 20, Daines posted from the event: “Great to be here at the SUPER BRAWL! Either the Cats or the Griz will play at the FCS Championship Game in Nashville…no matter who wins today we’ll need more flights for our MT football fans. Let’s get it done!”

Following the game, on December 21, he celebrated Montana State University’s victory: “BOBCATS WIN! Now on to Nashville! What a great game. Congrats @msubobcats_fb!”

Later that night, Daines reflected on the experience: “What a night at the Bobcat Stadium. Can’t wait to cheer on the Cats in the Music City”

Daines is a fifth-generation Montanan who grew up in Bozeman and attended public schools there. He earned a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Montana State University before holding management positions at Procter & Gamble and serving as an executive at a Bozeman-based software firm prior to entering politics (official website).
