Steve Daines, U.S. Senator representing Montana since 2015, used his social media platform on December 19, 2025, to address travel concerns and support for Montana teams ahead of the FCS Championship game.

In a post at 18:36 UTC, Daines wrote, “Today I sent a letter to airline CEOs urging additional flights from MT to Nashville for the FCS Championship game – helping Montanans cheer on our great state. Go Cats!”

Later that day at 19:40 UTC, he commented on weather conditions affecting Montana: “Severe weather continues to impact MT- if you’re traveling to Bozeman for the big game tmrw, please stay safe! Thank you to all the linemen & first responders working tirelessly to restore power and help MTns impacted by the storms.”
