Median-sized businesses in Yellowstone County zip codes in 2016 have less than five employees, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

There were 5,609 total businesses in the county zip codes, with 747 construction businesses (13.3%) accounting for the largest proportion of these businesses. 3,015 businesses (53.8%) had fewer than five employees, and 20 (0.4%) had 250 or more.

The county with the largest median business size was Cascade County. Median-sized businesses in Cascade County was between five and nine.
