READ to a Dog program is a chance for children to read to a dog one on one. Sometimes, children may have a difficult time reading, and reading to a dog can bring a feeling of non-judgment, which makes reading a more relaxing and fun experience. With bringing the Intermountain Therapy dogs here, it creates that relaxed feeling in a safe and comfortable environment. READ to a Dog is an affiliate program of Reading Education Assistance Dogs® of Intermountain Therapy Animals of Salt Lake City, Utah. We thankfully recognize the Otto and Yvonne Mansfield Endowment at St. Vincent Healthcare Foundation for providing the funding for this program. The Mansfields had a great love of animals and would be very pleased to support READ. We would also like to thank the Billings Public Library Foundation for coordinating the efforts of making this gift possible.
