Women's History Month | City of Billings Government
It's Women's History Month, so here's some history for you - The Billings Police Department hired its first female officer in 1965. Dolores McClure was appointed on April 1st of that year, and she was also the first female officer in the state of Montana. Many courageous women have served our community since then, and we thank them. Included in this post is an article by the Billings Gazette with an interview from Dolores that shows how much has changed. Also - the female officers of the Billings PD recently had a chance to get together for a photo.
