South Phillips County Grasslands Cattle Ranch for sale in North Central Montana.

Two parcels of land are available for sale from the Taylor Ranch, situated in the South Phillips County Grasslands of North Central Montana. Settled in the foothills of the Little Rocky Mountains, this 3rd Generation livestock operator has taken pride in using sustainable ranching practices to preserve some of the last, intact tracts of native grassland on the Northern Great Plains. The first parcel for sale consists of 1,600 +/- acres fenced into 3 separate pastures with multiple reservoirs in each, providing ample water for livestock and wildlife. The second parcel consists of 320 +/- acres of improved pasture, also with its own natural water source. Vegetation on the Taylor Ranch consists of crested wheatgrass, western wheatgrass, Sandberg's bluegrass, sweet clover, and prairie Junegrass.  These glaciated plains, covered in a mix of native grasses, supports what may be the largest grouping of grassland species left on the Northern Great Plains. In years with normal precipitation hay has been harvested on the ranch.
