Who will you be cheering for at Dehler Park on August 5th?

The Billings Police Department?

Or the Billings Fire Department?

The two departments are facing off once again for their third annual Guns & Hoses charity softball game.

But before they get to the mound, they'll be hitting the pavement for the return of the Beat the Heat 5K Family Fun Run and Walk.

The race was last held in 2019. This year, it's making its big comeback.

Can you run 3.1 miles faster than a police officer? Sign up to find out!

The race will begin at 9 a.m. at Grandview Park. Click here to see the course, learn more about the race and register.

The finish line is at Dehler Park.

But don't go far! That's because Billings firefighters and officers will gear up for the charity softball game.

There will be food trucks and opportunities to check out fire trucks and squad cars before the first pitch at noon.

The police department won the first two games in 2021 and 2022.

The game is free admission, but donations will be accepted at the gate and throughout the game.

All proceeds from the race and donations collected at the game will go to Special Olympics Montana.

Faithful Disaster Restoration is sponsoring the game again this year and designed the Beat the Heat race day shirts.
