1. Parks and Recreation – Summer recreation programs begin on Monday. Four (4) camps and tennis lessons kick off the summer season. Over 150 participants have signed up for the first week’s camps. The swimming pool at Rose Park will open on Wednesday at 12:00. Pool hours are 12 pm – 7 pm, Sunday – Thursday and 12 pm -8 pm, Friday and Saturday, weather depending. South Park pool will also open on Wednesday, June 7th at 12 pm. Hours of operation at South are 12 pm - 6 pm daily. Splash pads are open from 10 am – 8 pm daily. Wading pools are scheduled to open on June 12th. Summer is on at Parks and Recreation!!
2. Storm Water Flooding – Our crews have been working around the clock to minimize localized flooding caused by all the rain impacting the stormwater system. Significant investments over the past several years have had a significant positive impact. The Yellowstone River is not a concern at this point. Our greatest risks are likely tied to the BBWA ditch being impacted by movement of the hillside below the rims. We will continue to monitor movement and be in communication with the BBWA.
