2021 has 3.9% of Yellowstone County residents unemployed

Yellowstone County recorded an unemployment rate of 3.9% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,356 people out of the 163,593 living in Yellowstone County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Yellowstone County has increased compared to the 3.4% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Yellowstone County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 4%.

Of the 82,329 people who had a job during that time, 108 were employed in the Armed Forces and 82,221 belonged to the civilian labor force.
