As spring break nears, Billings Logan International Airport (BIL) is advising travelers to arrange transportation to and from the airport to prevent delays. Jeff Roach, City of Billings Director of Aviation and Transit, noted that "we’re still a few days away from the official start of spring break, but it appears a significant number of travelers are leaving for their destination early."

The airport anticipates full flights with many travelers during this period. With over 1,350 public parking spots at high demand, even the overflow lots may not guarantee easy parking. Roach suggested that "your best bet will be asking a friend or family member for a ride, using a ridesharing service, or calling a taxi." He also encouraged passengers traveling together to consolidate into one vehicle if possible.

The farthest available parking spot in the overflow lot is just under half a mile from the nearest terminal entrance. An airport-operated shuttle will transport passengers between the overflow parking areas and the terminal. Outbound passengers will be dropped off near ticket counters at Door 2, while inbound passengers can catch the shuttle at Door 4 near baggage claim for return trips to their vehicles.

For those with rides waiting upon return, there is a Cell Phone Waiting Parking Lot on Overlook Drive west of the terminal building where drivers can wait without charge.
