Hello All,
There has been a scam going around Custer County!
A “Detective Burk” claiming to work for the Custer County Sheriff’s Office has been trying to collect fees and get personal information.

Or the Custer County Sheriff’s line 406-874-3320
You can verify if a Officer, Deputy, or Detective is in fact employed by one of those agencies and if the circumstances of your fee, case, or warrant exist or are valid.
Do not pay over the phone!We will NEVER ask you to use gift cards or some other questionable source to pay your fines!
Scammers will use fear of warrants and jail time to try to scare you. Do not fall for this! Verify with Law Enforcement or the Court before paying any fines.
Be careful about giving any personal information out as that can be used for fraud or impersonation.
Remain vigilant and verify information with the right source!Always be cautious of online and phone scammers!
