The City of Billings MET Transit employees are participating in a campaign to support Breast Cancer Awareness throughout October. They will show their support every Friday during the month.

A spokesperson for MET Transit stated, "As a community resource, we want to show our support to our community, friends, family, and co-workers."

Statistics from the National Breast Cancer Foundation indicate that one in eight women in the United States will face a breast cancer diagnosis during their lifetime.

Riverstone Health has collaborated with MET Transit to promote its latest initiative aimed at encouraging women over 40 to undergo screening. Breast cancer ranks as the second leading cause of cancer-related death among women in Montana. For more information on cancer prevention and screening options, individuals can visit Riverstonehealth.org.

"We are driving to bring awareness!" is part of their message this October.
