The Northern Lights VOICES committee is encouraging community participation in a Clothesline Project this October, coinciding with Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The initiative aims to highlight the issue of domestic violence through a display of T-shirts decorated with personal messages, names, and symbols. Each shirt will honor the strength, resilience, and memory of victims and survivors.

Participants are invited to contribute by bringing an old T-shirt to decorate with messages of support or the name of a loved one affected by domestic violence. These shirts will be displayed on the courthouse lawn on October 25th and 26th. The event also offers an opportunity for the community to view the display and express solidarity with survivors.

"This project is simple, but its impact is powerful," stated organizers. "Together we can create a visual reminder of the lives impacted by domestic violence and bring hope to those who need it most."

For more information or involvement opportunities, interested parties are encouraged to contact Taya Keith, coordinator of the Northern Lights Family Justice Center.
